| My name is Shruti Narang & I am 28 years of age. Thinking back, I have always been painting hence I can’t really pinpoint the exact time as to when I discovered this passion inside me, but all I can say is that ever since I could manage to hold a brush in my hands, I haven’t put it down. Besides, painting is more of a therapy for me. It helps me deal with situations, which can easily put me out of focus and shake my inner confidence. Not only do I do paintings, but I also paint Bed Linen, table cloths & mats, cushions, napkins, Suits & Kaftaans….and all of them portray my own style of “self expression”. As regards my educational & professional background, I did my initial schooling from Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi, India then I completed my 10+2 from DPS R.K.Puram New Delhi, India. I graduated from Lady Sriram College, New Delhi, India with a Bachelor in Economics. I further did a two-year full time MBA from the Indian Institute of Planning & Management, (IIPM)Gurgaon, India, which I completed in 1998. I have been working since then with an MNC, at a middle management post. Every day that dawns reiterates the reality…that I don’t want to be engulfed in the routines of the corporate world. I want to be where my heart is…where my paintings take me…and that is where I will finally reach…to the end of every new beginning. | |
