| Arpana has won several awards and distinctions for her work including Gold Medal in VI Triennele (International), 1986 and All India Fine Arts Society Award, 1985. She has served on the purchase committee of National gallery of Modern Art, 1991-1992 and on the jury of Republic Day Committee for 2 years. She is also the Founder Member and Secretary General of Fine Arts and Literature. She was the only Indian artist commissioned by Hiroshima museum of modern art to do a work for the 50th aniversary of the Holocaust. Her paintings are in public collection at Kunst Museum, Dusseldorf; Victoria and Albert Museum, London; Bradford Museum, U.K.; Glenbarra Museum, Japan; Hiroshima Museum of Modern Art, Japan; National Gallery of Modern Art, Delhi; Chandigarh Museum; Ethnographic Museum, Stockholm; Singapore Museum of Modern Art.
